Spring!

With the warmer temperatures in the Ottawa Valley, it is a welcome sound hearing the returning birds from the south.
Day after day, the sound of overhead honks and clucks have become more and more frequent.
As a waterfowler, there is nothing like hearing this to ignite the excitement of this year's hunt and rekindle the memories of last's.
Although the fowl hunt is still months away, my attention is turning towards the spring turkey hunt and harvesting a thunder chicken or two.
The snow is disappearing and a forecasted week of rain will probably clean up the last of that. Once the ground has some time to dry up, I will be quite excited to get out to the bush and scout some birds and investigate new hunting locations.
