Mineral Sites All Around
Over the last few weeks I have found some time to create a few mineral sites in a few different areas of the property I hunt. I typically have a handful of salt blocks placed in the same usual areas each year and that is usually the extent of my mineral sites. This year I am supporting a local entrepreneur who has created their own blend of mineral. I was intrigued by some trail camera evidence of mineral sites using this particular blend and I decided to try it for myself. I personally try to locate my mineral sites on old rotting stumps or logs but occasionally a good hollow in the ground will do the trick. I took a few “before” photos and look forward to seeing the full effect of this particular mineral at these sites. Trail cameras have been set up and now it is just a waiting game. I am looking forward to seeing what this mineral may attract. As well I am anxious to see if animals make a habit of continually returning to my mineral sites. I do have high hopes for this product and I am hoping for good reason. In another week or two I will check in on my cameras and see what kind of action they are getting. Until then I can only sit and wait in anticipation of what game will make it’s appearance.
